There is no secret ingredient; you probably already know this quote, but in case you don't, let me give you the source.
Kung Fu Panda:
Mr. Ping: The secret ingredient is... nothing.
Po: ...Huh?
Mr. Ping: You heard me—nothing. There is no secret ingredient!
Po: Wait, wait. It's just plain old noodle soup? You don't add some kind of special sauce or something?
Mr. Ping: You don't have to. To make something special, you just have to believe it's special.
Don’t wait for the right time; don’t wait until the stars align; don’t wait until you’re ready; don’t wait for someone else to tell you that you are the dragon warrior.
Master Shifu, Kung Fu Panda: “If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than who you are.”
What you need to do is believe and have faith that you are the dragon warrior, that you are ready to be a mother, father, husband, wife, entrepreneur, business owner, or whatever it is. You will stumble until you find your groove, but if you wait until you feel like you are ready, you never will be. You and your willingness to try are all that is required.
“It's not about making the right choice.
It's about making a choice and making it right.”
You have read enough books and blogs; you have listened to enough podcasts and audio books; and I am probably one of the few who will tell you to stop reading and go start that thing you’ve always wanted to start.
I will consider my job complete if I lose every reader because I encouraged them so much to stop reading and go do it. And honestly, once you are so busy doing your own thing, all those books and blogs will start to hit so much harder because you are actively engaged rather than watching from the sidelines.
Jordan Peterson 12 rules for life: Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping
Again, all you need is yourself. Past you is counting on present you to create and invent the version of you that you are capable of. If you don’t show up for yourself, who will? If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will.
The comments are always open; let me know when you make a leap forward.
